Welcome to KV Dog Training located in Dutchess County NY. I am a balanced trainer who will travel to your home and work with you to provide a training plan based on your particular needs and goals for your dog. I will also teach you the skills needed to be successful with your training and to also improve your relationship with your dog based on clear communication and respect.Training can be a fun way to strengthen your bond while you learn to work together as a team.

1 hour consultation (required).This is where we get to know each other a little bit better and discuss your goals for your dog as well as any behavioral concerns.We will then begin some training that you can practice until our next lesson.

About Me

I've been an animal lover as long as I can remember.A family friend gifted me a pug puppy when I was 4 years old(my parents were not thrilled).He was my best friend for 14 years and we spent all our time together taking walks and learning tricks.He was a really good sport putting up with me all those years!When I was 12 I talked my parents into buying a horse and I started being more serious about training.First it was riding lessons for the local kids then training someone's pony led me to training horses.Eventually I got away from horses and back to dogs owning several that I always trained myself.Until my Rottie puppy proved more challenging then my skill level so I hired my first dog trainer.It didn't go as well as I had hoped so I started working with him more seriously myself.When I brought home a working puppy I knew help was needed immediately which led me to Foundation Style Dog Training.It was truly life changing and I enrolled in the dog trainer's course to continue furthering my knowledge and eventually decided to open my own small business.I've added to my knowledge with Robin McFarlane's intensive E cademy course and most recently with Leerburg dog training.I'm very excited to help people with their pets and to show you that a well trained dog is possible!
